What I am up to these days …
Preparing for the opening of my soloshow at Fahnemann Projects
Right now I am working on works on canvas and paper that will be exhibited in my Soloshow next month at Fahnemann Projects in Berlin. For these works I am trying to push the boundaries of color and abstraction further still – creating my own colorful universe… now if only the sun would come out!
We have also just confirmed that Donald Kuspit, one of the most distinguished American art critics, is working on an essay for my upcoming catalogue. I am thrilled!

Talk at Yale University Aurelian Honor Society
Christian Awe: „The Urban Art Movement within Contemporary Art – a special Focus on Berlin“
Yale University’s 2012 Delegation of the Aurelian Honor Society will be hosting artist Christian Awe for a dinner and discussion. Since founded in 1910, Aurelian has a history of working with Yale’s administrators and intellectuals, a tradition that persists today in its annual speaker series in which Christian has been invited as a guest speaker.
On December 8, Christian will discuss his own artistic development, his current projects as well as show recent works. He will also share insight on contemporary art movements in Berlin with a focus on UrbanArt.

Wynwood Walls / Wynwood Kitchen and Bar Gallery, Miami
Groupshow at Wynwood’s newest pop up Gallery with artists from the Wynwood Walls and the Restaurant Project. In addition to works by the artists, the gallery will offer limited edition T-shirts designed by artists such as AIKO, Kenny Scharf, How and Nosm, Christian Awe and others. T-shirt proceeds for Christian Awe go to the Lotus House Woman’s Shelter in Miami.
